RMEXPERTISECorné de Waal, Associate, RM Training Group Africa
B-Econ in Economics and Transport Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Corné de Waal started his career in 1995 in the aviation industry where he immediately got involved in Revenue Management (RM) and strategic pricing for worldwide markets.
Through the years, his responsibilities on RM and strategic pricing increased and he later became the youngest senior manager in the history of the company at that stage. He pioneered the establishment of RM not only as one of the key profitability drivers of the company, but also utilizing RM reports as key decision making and management tools.
In 2006 he was approached to develop a RM and demand management system for the largest privately owned coach company in Africa. He not only developed the system, but also restructured the whole commercial department to be aligned with RM and RM principles and also set up structured business intelligence procedures. This RM system has maximized revenues since inception, and placed the company en-route to profitability again. This company has been profitable ever since, with record profits posted in the year of the world recession.
Corné is a regular conference speaker on topics ranging from RM, strategic pricing and business intelligence.
