Revenue Management and Pricing Education

Our programs cover a wide range of revenue management (RM), pricing and marketing strategy related topics designed to meet the needs of travel industry professionals.

The scope of our programs ranges from introductory to advanced levels. The training delivery can be in-company, one-on-one via our distance learning centre, or in a public course offering. We can even supply you with the resource information or material for your own revenue management projects or so you can train your own employees.

Our courses will convey the image of market forces, pricing theory, demand and supply, allowing the student of revenue management to transfer the knowledge of economic theory to an understanding of the revenue management process, minimize the learning curve, and speed up the realization of benefits from any revenue management system.

Participants will receive an industry recognized and respected certification upon successful completion of the assigned work in each course training, and a diploma for successful completiion of all the courses in the programme.

We have had great success with many students who have followed their revenue management and pricing training by online distance learning. You can register and start at any time and progress at your own speed. Students come from many areas, some who are already in the travel industry, and others who want to prepare themselves to enter the field.

To give you an idea of how our distance learning works, we have a learning management system which is hosted by the University of Toronto in Canada. Within this LMS we have an extensive online library of course material, assignments, industry articles and papers, conference presentations, and IATA statistics. We add to this material on a weekly basis, so it is current and a great reference resource. We give you a username and password to access this LMS and you can continue to use it even after the training, as long as we are around. We also have an online forum, and a group discussion area. Have a look at a short tour of the site in our video at the bottom of the page.

We work together with you on each course module, communicating by email or through an instant messaging tool. We can also conduct online classes with students using an internet collaboration tool. Our students are international, from all parts of the world, so we try to accommodate time zone differences by being available at mutually convenient times, usually before or after work, and on weekends. (We have a link to a time zone chart on our external links page under "Other"). Each course takes a minimum of eight weeks, and considering you might be working on it in your spare time, some students are with us up to six months.

Our intention is to cover each subject until you feel comfortable that you have a good understanding of how it works and what the challenges are today. As we go along the entire course, the concepts and theories should all come together.

In the end, you should have a portfolio or binder of reference material, assignments, and notes that will be of great value. We stay in touch with our graduates, and often provide coaching. Distance learning is an economical alternative to in-company training for a large group, or travelling to a distant venue to attend a course.

What do you think? if you have any questions, we would be glad to discuss them. We can also put you in contact with graduates who would be able to give you their personal experience in the program. The links to the individual course outlines are at the top left of this page. You should consider the revenue management level one course, which gives you a solid foundation in revenue management and pricing,  to be a pre-requisite to both the RM level two and the pricing course, which are more strategic.
